Cut their nails too so they don’t scratch when they jump on you. You should also clean the ears regularly to avoid infections. Blueticks are speedy and compact nocturnal hunters named for the mottled (or ticked ) black-and-blue pattern of the glossy coat. Brush their teeth to reduce odor and give them dental treats. Like every other pet, they should be kept clean and this includes dental care and overall body care. Their coats should be brushed weekly to remove all loose hairs that would shed eventually. They should be bathed occasionally except you do not appreciate their scent or they have gotten themselves messy.
